Janet Brown is a highly experienced protocol and executive operations professional with a distinguished career supporting senior leaders, managing strategic stakeholder engagement, and coordinating high-profile events and communications.

During more than 40 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Janet served in a variety of leadership roles, culminating as Chief Protocol Officer. In that capacity, she managed interactions with U.S. and foreign government officials, industry executives, academic leaders, and distinguished visitors. She also directed major institutional events and managed a protocol team and annual budget of approximately $800,000.

As Protocol and Events Manager for the National Ignition Facility (NIF), Janet coordinated VIP visits, large-scale tours, scientific conferences, and special events involving senior government officials, members of Congress, military leaders, and international delegations. She played an important role in communicating NIF's mission in national security, frontier science, and fusion energy.

Janet later served as Protocol and Events Manager for the Giant Magellan Telescope Organization, where she organized board meetings, international conferences, donor events, and the telescope's groundbreaking ceremony in Chile.

Today, Janet supports the CEO of Longview Fusion Energy Systems, helping manage strategic relationships across the fusion, energy, scientific, government, and investment communities as the company advances its mission to commercialize fusion energy.
