Alan Conder

CHIEF ENGINEER

Alan Conder has 39 years of experience in planning, executing, and delivering complex engineering systems. These include in situ optics inspection systems for the National Ignition Facility (NIF), airborne chemical surveillance systems for the United States Airforce (USAF), acquisition-wavefront-guidance system for the Giant Magellan Telescope, high power diode pumped alkali laser (DPAL) system for the Missile Defense Agency, and most recently, as chief engineer, division leader, and project manager at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC). Alan's been awarded seven patents and received numerous awards for excellence in engineering. He holds B.S.E.E. and M.E.E.E. degrees from the University of Utah.
